Life

Life is like a trail.  A winding pathway that is sometimes smooth, sometimes rocky.  We may travel straight to our destination but often need to back track to get to where we want to go.  It certainly has its ups and downs.

The hike is the journey.  It can encompass all of our emotions in a single day.  We must face our fears and triumph the mountains to reach our goals.  We carry the burden of our necessities on our backs only to occasionally stop and smell the roses.  We should do that more.

Thanks for visiting!

  4. I love hiking. Grew up hiking in the Tetons, Yellowstone, and in Colorado. a little boy once told me that “Hiking is when you walk on dirt.” I love that simple definition..

  5. Hiking trails, wildlife, buildings – hmmm, similar tastes! I like the “Trail Magic” post, Frank, nicely put. And thanks again for yet another like by you of my “Striped Hiking Trail” and the little “Armadillo Bug”. Will tune in again soon…

  7. Great blog, great posts, great images, Frank – still can’t get over that “statue of liberty”. Agree about the AT – it’s indeed a treasured trail. Wish I could walk the whole thing, but a trail here and there works fine!
