Life is like a trail. A winding pathway that is sometimes smooth, sometimes rocky. We may travel straight to our destination but often need to back track to get to where we want to go. It certainly has its ups and downs.
The hike is the journey. It can encompass all of our emotions in a single day. We must face our fears and triumph the mountains to reach our goals. We carry the burden of our necessities on our backs only to occasionally stop and smell the roses. We should do that more.
Thanks for visiting!

Hey Frank, your lucky to have such great trails so close. I’m in the Rockies where the trails are much different, keep on posting!
Never been but would love to visit the Rockies. I soon hope to be on the Appalachian Trail! It’s the nearest “mountains” for me.
Hey Frank, thanks for visiting and following my blog. Just looked at yours and enjoy reading about your hiking adventures. I’m an outdoors guy as well (as many of my photos reflect), so I’ll look forward to seeing more of your posts. — Rob

Hi Frank, many thanks for visiting my blog. You got really nice shots on your blog and thanks to you I have to go hiking soonest! 🙂
I love hiking. Grew up hiking in the Tetons, Yellowstone, and in Colorado. a little boy once told me that “Hiking is when you walk on dirt.” I love that simple definition..
I like that. That’s really what hiking should be…simple.
Exactly. Kids understand the simple joys in life. We complicate the heck out of things
Glad I found your blog!

Hi Frank. Thanks for checking out Intrepid Tales on Insulin. cheers, Nat
Great blog, great posts, great images, Frank – still can’t get over that “statue of liberty”. Agree about the AT – it’s indeed a treasured trail. Wish I could walk the whole thing, but a trail here and there works fine!
Thank you!
