On my way to see a Penn State game when I look out of the car window and what do I see? The Statue of Liberty! Am I lost? Did I take a wrong turn? No. And I am not seeing things either.
Someone erected a replica of the Statue of Liberty in the lake along the highway going towards State College, Pennsylvania. Surprised I should say, but also kinda funny and pretty cool. Sorry the shots aren’t great. There was no place to pull over to get a better view.

No problemo. That’s a very scenic bend in the river and you get some great views traveling along 22/322 either way. This one time, I came over the hill going east before you get to Dauphin and could see straight through the gap to past Harrisburg. The moon was rising and it looked massive, like it was about to collide with the city.
I had no idea there was a replica of the statue of liberty in pennsylvania. How very cool!

Well thats cool! I am originally from PA, Pittsburgh (and yes I am still to this day a Steelers girl!). I have long distant family in State College though I havent been there in years. My fathers Aunt Grace , who we called Grandma Grapes lived there. A fun trip down memory lane. Thanks for posting.
