Pictures include a type of sundew (insect eating plant), a frog that would not leave, a fern, interesting grass, a huckleberry plant and other points along the trail. Thanks for looking!
Per your request in a comment on my blog, these are either lily or lotus pads – I’m not sure which. The best thing for you to do in identifying them is to try a Google search to see if anybody has photographed and cataloged the aquatic plants for that particular area. Also, invest in a plant/wildflower book of your area so you have it as handy reference for your photos.
